Kumdo

I have been learning this Korean martial art of sword for three years. Currently I am a first-degree blackbelt. Kumdo is similar to kendo, the Japanese martial art of sword. Every summer our federation holds a tournament in a nearby Minnesota state park. Here are some pictures from the 2002 event, courtesy of Mr. Andrew Haugen.

I am a student at Marquart's Taekwondo & Kumdo, located in Moorhead, Minnesota. We always welcome new students! If you are interested in kumdo, feel free to contact me.

Family and Friends

Photography

When I was fourteen years old I began to develop an interest in photography. My father taught me the principles and gave me his first fully-manual camera, (?). For one reason or another, during my high school and college years, I had not taken many pictures. But it's always been something I want to resume. Six months ago I finally bought a used digital camera, (?). Here are some pictures. I hope to make more roadtrips around the region, taking my camera along.

Writing

A secret project of mine. Actually, only a couple of people in this world know what the heck I am talking about here. Chances are it will never happen. But one can dream. First I need to learn how to type in Chinese. Equally impossible is to get the early sources back in my possession, perhaps by loan or collaboration. Vague enough for ya?

Hobbies

(Do you sense a pattern here? When I like something, I tend to collect large quantities of it.)
